Marketing Assistant

Boston Warehouse is an established importer and producer of gift housewares. For over 30 years, we have been a well-respected and creative force within the industry. We are currently looking for a Marketing Assistant with solid Graphic Design skills. This full time, entry level position (not freelance) will assist with a wide variety of projects in our Product Development Department.  

As a Marketing Assistant, some of your responsibilities would include:

• Putting press kits together for trade shows.
• Packing items/item numbers for photo shoots and unpacking items when returned.
• Preparation with Trade Shows: Packing samples, shopping for props, etc.
• Royalty Reports
• E-mail Press Releases and hi res images to Trade Publications on a regular basis.

On the Graphic Design side, you would be responsible for:

• Creating sell sheets for products

• Creating clipping paths in Photoshop from photographs

• Creating Power Point presentations

• Working on advertisements

• Other miscellaneous graphic design projects

Ideally, we would prefer a team member with a B.A Degree and 1-2 years experience in a similar position. Experience in or knowledge of the Gift Set / Gift Housewares industry is a plus. A good working knowledge of the CS suite of software (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office would be considered fairly essential for this position.
